SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed concerning the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area each day. The services level designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
